The new Voyages will include a week-long cruise that starts in the Galapagos Islands and ends with an Adventure Cruise to Antarctica. The newest voyage includes more than just seeing sights–the company is launching a brand-new expedition video series, too!

The “viking expeditions” is a company that offers summer 2023 expedition voyages. The company has announced new summer 2023 expedition voyages in the Arctic, Antarctica, and South America.

Viking has revealed its adventure journeys for the Summer 2023 season, which include a new two-week route that will take visitors across the magnificent Great Lakes area, as well as more sailings in North and South America.

Viking will operate two new Polar Class expedition ships—Viking Polaris and Viking Octantis—by Summer 2023, constructed expressly to sail safely and ethically into some of the world’s most distant areas.

What’s Hot Right Now

In June 2023, the new 15-day ‘Great Lakes Collection’ itinerary will premiere, sailing passengers between Toronto, Ontario, and Duluth, Minnesota, providing a full, immersive experience of the area and touching at ports on all five Great Lakes.

Viking also announced sailing dates for four of its current Great Lakes adventure cruises in 2023, including the eight-day Niagara & the Great Lakes, Great Lakes Explorer, and Undiscovered Great Lakes itineraries, as well as the 13-day Canadian Discovery itinerary, in response to high demand.

In addition, three more North and South American journeys have been added to Viking’s roster of expedition possibilities for Summer 2023. The new 16-day ‘Canada & the Atlantic Coastline’ route will include stops in Quebec City, Trois-Rivières, Norfolk, Charleston, and other cities along the St. Lawrence River and Atlantic coast.

The new 14-day ‘Patagonian Shores & Chilean Fords’ tour, which sails from Santiago, Chile to Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, will allow anyone brave enough to go to the extremities of the Earth to view the spectacular vistas of Patagonia.

The new 18-day Panama & Scenic South America itinerary, which sails between Santiago, Chile and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is ideal for guests interested in seeing North, Central, and South America. Guests can immerse themselves in the lively Peruvian capital of Lima, soak up the coastal charm of Iquique in Chile, and uncover the secrets of the Yucatán Peninsula’s ancient native civilizations in Mexico during the journey, which transits between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans via the Panama Canal.

Viking Octantis and Viking Polaris, two new Polar Class ships, will each be able to seat 378 people in 189 cabins. The ships are tiny enough to traverse through difficult arctic areas and the St. Lawrence River, but large enough to offer better handling and onboard stability even in strong waves. Ice-strengthened Polar Class hulls, state-of-the-art fin stabilizers, U-tank stabilizers to reduce rolling by up to 50% when the ships are stationary, and an in-ship marina built to launch small excursion vessels are just a few of its distinctive features. Each ship can seat 378 passengers in 189 cabins.

The “viking antarctica ships” are new summer 2023 expedition voyages that will be offered by Viking. The ship will depart from the UK and travel to Antarctica, where it will take on passengers for a cruise of the Antarctic Peninsula.
