Travelers interested in a lengthier trip to the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean may take advantage of a 22 or 26-night Combination Cruise with a 10% cruise price reduction available in March and April.
Furthermore, the cruise company has announced that Sir Tim Rice, the cruise line’s entertainment partner, would be aboard Encore’s maiden return trip on February 19. He’ll perform with the Seabourn singers and dancers and share career highlights and anecdotes live on stage.
The ship will also be home to “The Kings,” a new contemporary male vocal ensemble that will include the finest of current musical theater as well as powerful pop/rock voices. The Kings will be performed on the February 19 and March 1 sailings, respectively.
“At this time of year, the Canary Islands are a tropical paradise for sunbathers and nature lovers, making them a lovely vacation. We recognized an opportunity to bring Seabourn Encore back sooner than expected in these locations rich in culture, history, and famous food, and to let passengers experience something unique all along the route, thanks to our relationship with UNESCO,” said Josh Leibowitz, president of Seabourn.
“We’re also looking forward to welcoming Sir Tim Rice back on board to commemorate the ship’s maiden trip back in operation, ensuring that our passengers have a vacation to remember.”

The Canary Islands, which are located close the Moroccan coast, have long been seen as a link between four continents. Each of the eight islands has its own distinct personality, with nature serving as the primary attraction. Santa Cruz de La Palma, Puerto de la Estaca, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, San Sebastian de la Gomera, Las Palmas, and Arrecife, as well as a stop in Funchal, Portugal, will be among the destinations for Seabourn Encore.
Barcelona, Spain; Valletta, Malta; Syracusa and Crotone, Italy; and Kérkira (Corfu), Sámi, Thira (Santorini), and Naousa on different Greek islands will be among the vessel’s Mediterranean destinations.
These cruises will offer a variety of options for guests to discover sites of culture and natural wonder at select ports of call, with “World Heritage Tours” visiting World Heritage Sites and “Discovery Tours” with exclusive World Heritage shore excursions, as an official cruise partner of UNESCO World Heritage.
Passengers may also select from a variety of land excursions offered by the Seabourn Journeys collection to prolong their holiday. The UNESCO Lisbon, Fatima, and Porto trip, which lasts four days and three nights, will be available to passengers arriving or disembarking in Lisbon.
A visit to the religious site of Fatima to observe pilgrims and see the Chapel of Apparitions and the Sanctuary, as well as several UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the historic center of Porto, including City Hall and San Bento Train Station, are among the sights and experiences to be had along the way. The Duoro Valley will also be a point of attraction, with visitors being treated to a wine tasting and a tour of some of Coimbra University’s ancient buildings, which is one of the world’s oldest institutions still in operation.
On October 5, 2021, bookings for Seabourn Encore’s new Canary Islands and Mediterranean itineraries will open.
