Royal Caribbean Cruises is extending its vaccination mandate for travelers from 12 months to 22. The memo states that the company will enforce this new policy on all passengers, including those who have already been vaccinated. While it’s still uncertain how many people would actually comply with the mandate, there are some other countries where Royal Caribbean doesn’t require vaccinations before embarking or flying out of a country due to safety concerns. Experts say this move by Royal Caribbean may help protect against infectious diseases while making travel more pleasant and safe for everyone taking part in their cruises.

The “royal caribbean vaccine policy” is a new mandate that extends the requirement for vaccines to 2022. This means that anyone who wants to travel on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship will have to get vaccinated before they can board.

Royal Caribbean International has issued amended procedures for cruises departing from the United States, Puerto Rico, and Barbados through March 31, 2022.

First and foremost, it’s worth mentioning that the cruise line’s vaccination policy has been extended for at least this period. Passengers aged 12 and over are required to provide evidence of immunization, such as the CDC COVID-19 vaccination record card. At least 14 days previous to sailing, the last dosage must have been finished.

Among the other protocols are:

Sailings from U.S. Homeports are being tested.

Passengers 12 and older who have been vaccinated must have a negative PCR or antigen test result obtained no more than two days prior to departure. Passengers under the age of 12 who are completely vaccinated should take the same precautions as vaccinated passengers.

Unvaccinated children aged 2 to 11 should provide a negative test within three days before sailing, but not on the day of departure.

Unvaccinated passengers will get a free PCR test upon check-in on embarkation day.

Unvaccinated passengers will have a free antigen test before disembarking the ship. Additional tests may be required depending on the duration of the voyage.

Sailings From San Juan, Puerto Rico are being tested.

All unvaccinated travellers aged 2 and above will need a PCR or antigen test to enter Puerto Rico. Guests coming from non-US nations will need a PCR or antigen test for admittance, regardless of immunization status.

Passengers who have been vaccinated must produce a negative PCR or antigen test result obtained no more than two days prior to the voyage.

Unvaccinated children between the ages of 2 and 11 must provide a negative PCR test result obtained no more than 3 days before to sailing.

To sail, you must have proper paperwork from an approved laboratory.

When checking in at the airport, unvaccinated children aged 2 to 11 must undergo a PCR test.

Unvaccinated passengers must perform an antigen test aboard within 24 hours of the cruise’s finish before disembarking.

Sailings from Barbados: Vaccination and Testing Requirements

Only vaccinations approved by the World Health Organization may be taken due to the regulations of places on Royal Caribbean’s Barbados itinerary.

Guests under the age of 12 who have received all of their vaccinations should follow the instructions for vaccinated guests.

All passengers aged 5 and above, regardless of vaccination status, must submit a negative PCR test result obtained no more than 3 days prior to arrival in Barbados to gain access.

All unvaccinated visitors aged 2 to 11 must provide a negative PCR test result obtained no more than 3 days before to sailing as part of the pre-cruise requirements. As long as the PCR test is completed within three days of the sailing date, this condition is met. Guests will need to arrange their own PCR test in Barbados if the findings are older than three days. The terminal antigen test does not meet the pre-cruise testing requirement for unvaccinated passengers.

All travellers aged 2 and above, regardless of vaccination status, are obliged to perform a free antigen test at the airport.

Guests 5 and older, regardless of vaccination status, who want to explore Barbados before traveling to the airport or staying in Barbados for a lengthy period of time must undergo further testing before to disembarking.

Guests who go straight to the airport, whether on their own or as part of a Royal Caribbean tour, will not be subjected to any onboard testing.

Excursions from the Beach

Except for Perfect Day at CocoCay, families vacationing with unvaccinated children must book a tour via Royal Caribbean in order to go ashore.

With the exception of St. Lucia, Barbados, St. Kitts, Antigua, Tobago, Trinidad, Grenada, Martinique, Dominica, and St. Vincent, fully vaccinated parties may arrange a shore trip or visit most ports without restriction, at least until December.

Regardless of vaccination status, all passengers on December cruises from Barbados will need to arrange a tour if they desire to go ashore in ports of call.

Masks

Masks are needed at the terminal, in some areas on board, and may be required at different destinations. A mask is not required for children under the age of two.

Dining

There are separate spaces for parents and unvaccinated children, as well as areas for vaccinated passengers alone, in the main eating area.

Unvaccinated visitors are not permitted to dine at My Time Dining.

Some specialist locations will be available to the public, while others will be restricted to those who have been vaccinated.

The “carnival cruise vaccine policy” is a change in the policy of Royal Caribbean, which will extend its mandate to 2022. The company has decided to increase the number of passengers who need to be vaccinated before they can board a ship from 100% to 200%.
