NCL Expanding Miami Presence To Offer More Caribbean Sailings

The National Caribbean Lines (NCL) is planning to expand its presence in Miami by adding more weekly sailings, and it will be bringing a new ship with 554 passengers capacity. The company has been expanding their presence in the United States as well as internationally for many years now.,

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings is expanding its Miami service base with a new crew base and additional itineraries. The company opened the doors to their newest ship, Norwegian Escape on June 4th in Fort Lauderdale Florida which will offer three more Caribbean sailings from Miami starting September 10th.The “ncl new miami terminal opening” is a big step for the company. NCL is expanding their Miami presence to offer more Caribbean sailings.

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) announced that the Norwegian Joy started sailings out of PortMiami, the ‘Cruise Capital of the World,’ on Saturday, marking another milestone in the company’s ‘Great Cruise Comeback.’ Following the worldwide cruising ban induced by COVID-19 in March 2020, the ship became Norwegian’s eighth vessel to return to operation.

Following her return to Miami, Norwegian Joy has embarked on a series of seven-day roundtrip Caribbean cruises that will take her to Roatán, the Bay Islands; Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; and Harvest Caye, Belize (the brand’s 75-acre private island resort). On December 23, 2021, an unique 11-day holiday cruise will sail from Miami, stopping in Willemstad, Curaçao; Oranjestad, Aruba; Castries, St. Lucia; St. John’s, Antigua; St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; and celebrating New Year’s Day in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, before returning to Miami.

Norwegian Joy, Norwegian Encore, Norwegian Getaway, and Norwegian Pearl, which is about to resume sailings, will all be homeporting at PortMiami in December.

Norwegian Encore, the company’s newest and most innovative ship, will sail a series of seven-day cruises from Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, to St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, Tortola, British Virgin Islands, and Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s private island in the Bahamas, beginning December 12 and ending April 10.

From December 22 to February 11, Norwegian Getaway will sail the Eastern Caribbean, offering a variety of five- and nine-day cruises. The Norwegian Pearl, a Jewel-Class ship, will next begin its post-pandemic cruise on December 23 with an 11-day Panama Canal round-trip from City Magic City. Cartagena, Colombia; Panama Canal/Gatun Lake and Colón, Panama; Puerto Limón, Costa Rica; Roatán, Bay Islands; Harvest Caye, Belize; and Costa Maya, Mexico will all be visited on this year’s cruise.
