Another MSC Cruises vessel has re-entered service.
MSC Divina, a Florida staple, launched a series of Bahamas and Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral, a new port for the cruise company, yesterday.
The ship is traveling on a three-night itinerary that includes stops in Nassau, Bahamas, and MSC’s own island Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, which debuted in 2019.
Ocean Cay will be a frequent port of call for MSC Divina, as well as other line ships traveling from Florida. Two kilometers of white sand beaches, as well as sports like paddle boarding, kayaking, and jet skiing, are available on the island.
The MSC Divina is docked at the MSC Ocean Cay Marine Reserve.
Ships dock at Ocean Cay for an extended period of time, from early morning to late evening (and occasionally overnight), when bonfires are lit on the beach and a light display is performed on the island’s lighthouse.
“We are delighted to welcome MSC Divina to Port Canaveral and to provide our guests with even more options while traveling with us from the United States,” said Rubén Rodriguez, President of MSC Cruises USA.
“Following MSC Meraviglia’s triumphant return, we’re thrilled to see our passengers so anxious to go back to sea, particularly as the winter holiday season approaches. Our visitors will have an excellent chance to enjoy a well-deserved family holiday by bringing MSC Cruises’ world of discovery to this accessible port, which is close to famous attractions and major cities like Orlando, Tampa, and South Florida.”
