MSC Poesia’s world trip has been canceled for 2022, but the cruise company is compensating passengers by announcing an extra ship for 2023. MSC Poesia is already planning a world cruise for 2023, and MSC Magnifica will follow suit in the same year.
The cancellations in 2022 are due to restricted port access caused by pandemic-related limitations. When the 2022 world cruise was announced in 2019, Cruise Hive was the first to report.

Both ships will leave the ports of Civitavecchia and Genoa on January 4 and 5, 2023, respectively. Guests may also board the ship at Marseille, France, or Barcelona, Spain. The ships will sail around the globe at the same time, but on separate paths. After sailing across the Mediterranean together, the MSC Poesia and Magnifica will split up in the Atlantic.
MSC Magnifica will sail the same itinerary as the MSC Poesia, which was canceled in 2022. The ship will stop at 43 locations in 24 countries over the course of 117 days. There will also be nine overnight stays. The MSC Magnifica world cruise is currently accepting reservations, and it will feature a beverage package, 15 included shore excursions, and a 30 percent laundry savings.

MSC Magnifica will go across South America, via the South Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea, the Red Sea, and back into the Mediterranean Sea through the Suez Canal.
