NEW MARRIOTT OFFERS VALUE FOR MONEY UP TO 225,000 POINTS

I am compensated for the content and many links on my site. Citibank, American Express, Chase, Barclays, and Capital One are all advertising partners on this site. My advertising partners have not reviewed, authorized, or supported any of the views stated in this article. I don’t write about all credit cards; instead, I concentrate on miles, points, and cash back (and currencies that can be converted into the same). The offers and perks mentioned on this website are subject to the terms.
Credit card providers didn’t appear to desire new clients for most of last year. Now they all seem to have reversed that trend, and their main tactic for luring you to their cards is to significantly raise the up-front offers for approval. In a concerted effort, Chase and American Express have released new offers for their Marriott cards, and these deals are extremely excellent.
To be clear, I believe that the Marriott card incentives make the goods worthwhile. And I believe the cards offer you a reason to keep them. I have a personal and a small business Marriott card, which I maintain. However, they do not get a significant portion of my continuing spending.
- After $5,000 in purchases in the first three months after account activation, Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card members will get 125,000 bonus points and 1 Free Night Award (worth up to 50,000 points). As an initial bonus, the card may be worth up to 175,000 points.
Every year, after the account anniversary, cardmembers receive a Free Night Award (which can be used at properties that require up to 35,000 points for the night) as well as silver elite status in the Marriott program and gold status after $35,000 in purchases each account year, as well as 15 Elite Night Credits per calendar year that can be used toward higher tier levels.
- The Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Credit Card offers no annual fee and a limited-time incentive of 60,000 points after $2,000 in purchases during the first three months after account creation. I’ve never seen a better deal on this card before.
Each calendar year, this card comes with 15 Elite Night Credits, which not only makes achieving elite rank simpler each year, but also contributes toward lifetime status.
- After you spend $5,000 on eligible purchases with your new Marriott Bonvoy BusinessTM American Express® Card during the first three months, you may receive 125,000 Marriott Bonvoy bonus points and two bonus Free Night Awards. Each additional Free Night Award is redeemable for a maximum of 50,000 points. With this deal, you may earn up to 225,000 points by November 3, 2021. This card has an annual charge of $125. (See the prices and fees page for further information.)
Every year, on the anniversary of your Card account, you will get a Free Night Award. Plus, after spending $60,000 on the card in a calendar year, you’ll get an extra Free Night Award. One-night awards are available (redemption level at or under 35,000 Marriott Bonvoy points).
The card comes with Silver elite status, and $35,000 in qualifying purchases in a calendar year gets Gold membership. In addition, cardholders are entitled to 15 elite nights each year.
Rooms at Al Maha Desert Resort are standalone villas with meals and activities included.
There are a few things worth mentioning. In the Bonvoy program, you may earn 15 elite nights from a personal card and 15 elite nights from a business card, for a total of 30 elite nights each year from credit cards. Some Marriott hotels charge resort or destination fees, which are not covered by reward redemptions (unlike Hilton and Hyatt). However, the Marriott portfolios include some outstanding and genuinely unique properties, the majority of which were acquired as part of the Starwood purchase. For example, I’m not sure how many finer locations I’ve ever been than Al Maha Desert Resort.
“Marriott isn’t playing around” with these offers, according to Mark Ostermann. That is, without a doubt, accurate. If you’ve had 5 or more new cards in the last 24 months, you’re unlikely to be accepted for a Chase card.
