The carnival cruise line news is a story about the Carnival Cruise Line officially taking on a new name during dry dock transformation.

Salutations, Carnival Radiance!
For years, we’ve been following the development of Carnival Victory into Carnival Radiance. The ship is finally in the last phases of its dry dock, after delays caused by operational interruptions. The ship’s name has also been changed to Carnival Radiance, according to the cruise company.
“We’re thrilled that she may now be formally named Carnival Radiance – the newest member of our fleet,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “Carnival Radiance includes all of our most popular areas and offers a really unique and thrilling holiday choice for the short cruise market in Southern California.”

At a shipyard in Cadiz, Spain, the ship is undergoing a $200 million bow-to-stern renovation. The ship will get a slew of new features, including all of the popular FUN 2.0 improvements that have already been implemented throughout the fleet. In addition, the Carnival Radiance will have 110 additional guest suites and cabins, as well as more shop space.
Another highlight will be the new Big Chicken restaurant, which premiered during Mardi Gras earlier this year and was designed by Carnival’s Chief Fun Officer Shaquille O’Neal.
The dazzling new red, white, and blue livery, which has already been carried out to five cruise ships during their dry docking, is one of the greatest attractions of the makeover.

The three-day option includes a visit to Ensenada, Mexico, and will leave on Fridays. The four-day cruise will leave from the Long Beach Cruise Terminal on Monday, stopping at Ensenada and Catalina Island along the way.
There will be two more Carnival cruise ships operating from Long Beach, in addition to the Carnival Radiance. On August 21, 2021, Carnival Panorama will resume. On September 27, 2021, the Carnival Miracle will commence voyages from the port.
The Carnival Radiance, with a gross tonnage of 101,509, will be the third Sunshine-class cruise ship, after previous major modifications. Carnival Triumph was renamed Carnival Sunrise in 2019, while Carnival Destiny was renamed Carnival Sunshine in 2013.
