The announcement comes after the cruise operator announced many itinerary modifications for three ships in October 2021.
Itinerary Changes on the Carnival Cruise Line
Sunshine at the Carnival, Carnival Temptation, Ecstasy during the Carnival, and Liberty Carnival is a carnival that takes place every year all depart from the Port of Charleston, whereas Carnival Sunshine, Carnival Breeze, and Carnival Ecstasy depart from the Port of Galveston, and Carnival Liberty departs from Port Canaveral.
Carnival Sunshine features four different itineraries that are rotated over a total of 12 sailings. Cruises sailing from Charleston in 2022 on February 5, 14, 19, March 28, October 29, and 2023 on February 4, 13, and March 4 will only stop at Bimini, Bahamas. Previously, the ship was slated to stop in Nassau and the cruise line’s own island of Half Moon Cay during the 5-day cruises, but those stops would no longer be included.
The Carnival Sunshine’s November 7 sailing will not stop at Half Moon Cay and will instead visit Nassau and Princess Cays. In 2023, only Princess Cays in the Bahamas will be visited on the January 3 and March 23 departures. Carnival Sunshine will visit the ports in a different sequence and at different times on the 10-day Eastern Caribbean trip beginning January 15th.

The five-day cruises departing on November 28, December 21, and December 26, 2022, as well as February 20, 2023, will now stop in Bimini instead of Half Moon Cay or Princess Cays. Nassau will also be included in the itinerary.
The Fantasy-class cruise ship is presently on hiatus, but will resume service on March 7, 2022, departing Jacksonville.
Two separate itinerary adjustments for Carnival Liberty sailings out of Port Canaveral will affect a total of four sailings. The four-day cruises departing on March 28 and December 26 in 2022 will no longer stop at Princess Cays, instead visiting Bimini and Nassau, which will stay unchanged.

The cruise ship of the Conquest class is still waiting to resume operations. The ship will return to Port Canaveral on February 11, 2022.
The situation is still fluid.
The itinerary adjustments were not explained in the correspondence that was delivered to guests. It might simply be due to port agreements or the fact that there is limited capacity at particular ports as a result of the industry’s continuous itinerary adjustments.
