The American Queen Steamboat Business and its sister company Victory Cruise Lines have amalgamated, and the two companies are now known as American Queen Voyages.
American Queen Voyages is made up of three new brands: River American Queen Voyages, Lakes & Ocean Voyages on the American Queen, and Expedition of the American Queen Voyages, all of which provide a wide range of cruise itineraries throughout North America.
American Queen Voyages provided this marketing picture for the new brand.
American Queen Voyages’ new slogan, “Discovery Runs Deep,” encourages passengers to ditch the guidebook and go off the beaten path for unique experiences throughout North America.
“After a decade of evolution, American Queen Voyages has expanded its offerings beyond the great American rivers to include lakes, ocean, and expedition experiences,” said Shawn Bierdz, president of American Queen Voyages.
“Today, we are American Queen Voyages, and we believe in the simple yet powerful phrase – Discovery Runs Deep. We maintain the original vision of our company’s founder and chairman, John Waggoner, and his unshakable confidence in the rebirth of U.S. river cruising and close-to-home experiences as we enter this new chapter and offer our version of encounter travel.”
The newly conceived brand celebrates its development from running its single namesake vessel, American Queen, to growing to a seven-vessel fleet with the purchase of Victory Cruise Lines, embracing its Mississippi River and paddlewheel origins.
American Queen Voyages intends to operate eight boats by 2023, with destinations including America’s heartland rivers, the Great Lakes, and the Pacific Northwest, as well as Canada, the Eastern Seaboard, Mexico, and the Yucatán Peninsula, and Alaska.
